Branton Bridge Solicitors - A brighter future...

Married and same-sex couples

The immigration rules allow entry to unmarried partners who can show a previous period of cohabitation and an intention to live together.

In addition, the Civil Partnership Act 2004 which came into force on 5 December 2005 allow same-sex couples to register their relationship and enjoy many of the legal rights previously only afforded to married couples. Individuals who register their relationship can apply to join their UK based partners.
